One of our favourite moments this Christmas was going to watch Mary Poppins Returns, a film we had eagerly anticipated for months! As a child Mary Poppins was one of my all time favourite films, something I have shared with the children over the years, and I was interested to see how Mary Poppins Returns would live up to such an iconic film.
It turns out that Mary Poppins Returns was, quite simply, AMAZING! Emily Blunt made the most wonderful Mary Poppins, whilst staying true to the original we have come to know and love, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, an actor I am unfamiliar with, was the perfect male lead in his lovable and highly entertaining character of Jack.
We enjoyed every moment of the music and dance and particularly loved spotting our favourite characters from the original film popping up in the sequel. There’s no denying that Dick Van Dyke still has the moves all these years later!

We laughed, I cried, and we came away feeling all warm and fuzzy inside which, let’s face it, is exactly what you want from a Disney movie!
