Flyers Vent has a slightly closer fit than regular Boreal approach shoes with an extended rock-shoe-like lace closure for a really precise fit and great control. The upper is made from a synthetic textile which is very lightweight and extremely breathable with excellent stay-cool comfort in warmer weather.
The outsole of Flyers Vent is made from Zenith Dura which is a special hard wearing version of a famous rock shoe rubber and offers brilliant grip on rock surfaces whilst retaining good durability.

Unlike lesser approach shoes Flyers vent has a board lasted construction with a full length midsole for excellent underfoot support on rough ground. The bulk of the underfoot cushioning is placed above the midsole with the rubber outsole mounted underneath. This construction massively reduces the amount of edge deflection around the foot, a huge advantage when climbing.
