How rubbish has the weather been lately? I’m desperate for Spring to arrive.
We love getting out and about at the weekends as you’ve probably seen on my blog, but I absolutely hate the cold so can usually be found moaning after an hour or 2! Kids don’t ever seem to feel the cold, but that doesn’t stop me from worrying about whether Little H is warm enough when we’re out.
When I saw Tiny Trolls of Norway on Twitter I was really interested in their kids’ outdoor clothing – their motto is “There’s no such thing as bad weather, just poor clothing!” which I definitely agree with.

TINY TROLLS MICROFLEECE SET
We’ve tried out the Skogstroll Microfleece set and accessories, and also have one to give away, so read on if you like outdoor adventures with the kids…
Unfortunately, we’ve had a few very rainy weekends in a row, but we did manage to test the microfleece set out in the garden. We only have a small garden, but after living her first 3 years in a second floor flat the novelty still hasn’t worn off for Little H. She loves to get out there at every opportunity, even when the weather isn’t great.
I went outside with her and was freezing, but she was happily jumping around and dancing in her fleece set with no complaints.
Little H’s favourite colour is purple so she picked the purple microfleece set. The set is made up of a jumper with a funnel neck and trousers. The material is super soft and I won’t lie, I wish they made them in my size!
The top is embossed with the cute Tiny Trolls logo, and the trousers also feature a small logo.
In winter or on the snowy holiday the fleecey jumper and trousers would be perfect to go underneath other clothes for an extra layer of protection against the cold. Warmer weather is hopefully on it’s way soon and I will definitely be putting the jumper on Little H went it starts getting too warm for a coat but too cold for short sleeves.
We went on a day out at the weekend and the weather was rubbish. Cold, wet and rainy. I put the jumper on Little H under her big winter coat and she said she was very toasty.
Her review of the microfleece set is “It’s so soft and warm. I love it”.
THE ACCESSORIES
The matching accessories are made up of a hat, mittens, and a ‘snuggly’ which can be used as a neck band/scarf, a hat or even hair band.
Little H didn’t test the hat – it was quite tight and I think she just has too much hair for it. The design is very cute though and would look fab on younger kids.
The mittens are awesome, I’d definitely like a pair of these. It wasn’t quite cold enough for Little H to wear them to play in but she said they were “cool” and we’ll definitely keep them handy for colder weather. They’re waterproof which is great, no one likes soggy gloves.
She used the snuggly as a neckband, and it’s much more practical than a long scarf for kids who are jumping about and climbing. Made of cotton it’s also good for kids who complain their scarves are itchy!
We think the microfleece set and accessories are perfect for kids who love being outdoors. An extra layer of warmth in the winter or on a snowy holiday, and warm enough for a spring day when they don’t want to wear a coat.
