For as long as I can remember I've had a love for stationery, there is something wonderful about getting your hands on a new notebook and pen, though all too often I just keep them, rather than using them for their proper use.
A couple of weeks back John Lewis got in touch, excited by the fact they now stocked Swedish inspired stationery and gift brand kikki.K and I couldn't wait to see what items they had to offer.
For anyone who is new to kikki.K, they look to embrace the Swedish design principles of form and function to help create a number of beautiful stationery, gift and organisation solutions. That also looks to inspire and empower the people who use them across the world.
If you have ever come across kikki.K before you will know their collection is vast and so John Lewis have just taken a selection of items, which make for a perfect capsule sized collection.
Unsurprisingly the collection includes a number of pens, including the Hello World gel pen, from the image above, as well as different ballpoint and rollerball pens, which can be bought in sets or individually.
The collection John Lewis have chosen to stock is very much on the theme of inspiring and motivation yourself, from the Words to Inspire book, to boxes to help you form healthy habits, pads to help you get on top of your habits and more.
The range of course also features a number of notepads, notelets, journals and diaries, offering something for every stationery lover's needs. However, hidden in between all these wonderful delights I managed to spot the Inspiration Scented Candle.
Featuring an inspirational quote on the outside of the box and printed again on the metallic copper coloured outer of the candle itself, this candles is made of soy wax and is softly scented with Swedish scent.
Personally, I was really impressed with kikki.K and I would definitely look to buy more for myself when I am in need, I think for instance my next diary may just have to come from them as I love the motivational quotes that are used across this range.

I've mentioned the lovely Bespoke Lichfield a few times now, and across all the times I've spoken about them, there is one designer I brought up each time; Dolly and Blanche's Tea Time Adventures.
I personally own a couple of pieces from her collection (and most definitely want to buy more, there's a Cheshire Cat clock for instance just calling my name).
Each time I have brought up this talented lady and her creations, I have had such a positive response and so when Ash and I popped into Bespoke Lichfield the other week, I decided it was time to treat one of you lovely people to a Dolly and Blanche's Tea Time Adventures of your own.
After looking through the items that were out, the lovely owner of Bespoke Lichfield, Angela, grabbed a couple of items from the back which were waiting for a space to go on display. It was in them I found this spring girl and knew she had to be the one.

Did you know that the 26th of March marked the 30th anniversary of the Nike Air Max? I have to admit I had no idea these iconic trainers had been on the market so long. To help celebrate the day they released a whole host of new air shoes, including the long awaited Nike Air VaporMax.
As a company who are loved by many, it of course makes sense that a lot of stores wanted to help celebrate. Ash and I were lucky enough to be approached by Mainline Menswear, to be part of their Nike Air Day celebrations. To make sure Ash was setting out on the right footing, for this exciting day they kindly sent him a pair of Nike Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 Essential trainers and I have to say he has loved wearing them on trips out of late.
These beautiful blue trainers are a mix of paramount blue with binary blue, a very striking combination of colours I have to say.
The Nike Air Max 90 Essential's feature a woven mesh upper with lightweight no sew and synthetic overlays, with rubberised panels to form the lace stand and of course the signature Nike Max Air Bubble at the heel, which is mounted into a lightweight sole.
In our opinion, these Nike Air Max 90 Essential trainers offer a great pair of everyday wear shoes. They have comfort, style and a bit of the WOW factor all rolled into one and really manage to put a spring in your step as you walk down the street.
Of course if this particular style or colour isn't quite what you would pick, never fear as Mainline Menswear have a huge selection of Nike footwear (oh yes it's not just trainers they have in stock) for you to choose from.

I can hardly believe we are in May already; this year seems to be flying by at super speed. This month is going to be a pretty noisy one around here as we are having a new kitchen fitted and have been told it will take up most of the month. However, it will be worth it in the end as we really need more plug sockets in the kitchen and they are even going to plumb in an area for a dishwasher (so any recommendations for a good one are welcome).
While at Bank House Hotel & Spa Worcester, I became very fond of the brand Temple Spa, a spa quality brand, which is sold at affordable prices (I almost fell off my seat when they told me their Purification mask cost just £27, as I was expecting much closer to £50). So I decided to pick up a nail polish collection from them to offer up as a prize.

I am sat here writing this at silly o'clock, we are having a new kitchen fitted, so I'm sat waiting for the workers to arrive, which means I'm having to see times my body doesn't particularly enjoy seeing. My phase of the next few weeks will be “it will be worth it in the end”.
