Elvis & Kresse have been reclaiming heroic materials ever since they fell in love with London Fire Brigade's decommissioned fire-hose. After a distinguished career fighting fires and saving lives the hoses were destined for landfill. Elvis & Kresse started to rescue it in 2005 and never looked back. 50% of the profits from the fire hose range are donated to the Fire Fighters Charity.
More materials soon followed, Kresse has always had an obsession with waste and likes nothing better than discovering and intercepting something new. The challenge is the same every time - what can they do to prove value, change perception, and respect these resources. They are constantly searching for more materials to grow their range of bags, belts and wallets, and have rescued over 200 tonnes so far.

The Elvis & Kresse leather rugs are constructed from hundreds of interlocking pieces of the finest quality leather; leather reclaimed from a cross section of the very best British leathercraft manufacturers. Elvis & Kresse only work with the off-cuts produced by their leather partners so every piece created is truly unique.
Due to this modular concept, the rugs are designed for deconstruction, to ensure a long and varied life. The shapes have been created to interlock with infinite potential, helping the rugs to be remade, and reinvented through time.
Elvis & Kresse have just released an app which allows anyone to truly design their own unique rug. Users can choose the size, the colours and create any kind of pattern they so wish. Currently there are four colours to choose from. To design your own rug, click on this link and select 'CUSTOMIZE'. The winner of the competition can design any size up to 3m2.
